Barry Lifschitz, MD

Dr. Lifschitz received his undergraduate degree from Yeshiva University and M.D. from New York Medical College. He went on to complete his Endocrinology fellowship at Montefiore Hospital and Medical Center.

He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology and Metabolism and is a fellow of both the American College of Physicians and the Amercian College of Endocrinology. He is a current member of the Rockland County Medical society, Endocrine Society, American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, American College of Physicians, American Diabetes association, and has served on the board of directors for the American Cancer Society, Rockland County.

Deborah Lee Raice, MD

Dr. Raice received her undergraduate degree from the Stern College for Women of Yeshiva University and her M.D. from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She went on to complete her Endocrinology Fellowship at Cornell University Medical Center.

She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology and Metabolism and is a current member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and the American Diabetes Association.

Don Zwickler, MD

Dr. Zwickler received his undergraduate degree from Yeshiva University and his M.D. from New York University Medical Center. He went on to complete his Endocrinology fellowship at New York University Medical Center. He has served in many capacities through his career as Instructor of Clinical Medicine at NYU (‘90-’04), Director of High Risk Diabetic Pregnancy Clinic at Bellevue Hospital (‘90-’00), Endocrinology Consultant for Goldwater Memorial Hospital (‘92-’00), and the Chief of Endocrinology at Good Samaritan Hospital.

He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology and Metabolism. He serves on the medical advisory board for Going Forward with Diabetes and JDA Connection and the Editorial Board for Diabetes and You.

Carla Iudica-Souza, MD

Dr. Iudica-Souza received her undergraduate degree from College of the Holy Cross, Worcester MA, and her M.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. She went on to do Internal Medicine Intership and Residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, as a captain in the Army and then completed her training as a fellow in Endocrinology, also at Walter Reed. She completed her military career as a Major, Chief of Endocrinology at Landsthul Regional Medical Center in Germany.

She is board certified in Endocrinology and Metabolism and is a fellow of the American College of Endocrinology. She is an active member of the American Association of Endocrinology, the Endocrine Society and the National Lipid Association.

Rachel Froehlich, P.A.

Rachel Froehlich received her PA degree from Anne Arundel Community College and her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from St. Francis University.

She has been working in endocrinology for over 15  years with world-class endocrinologists. She
specifically enjoys managing Type 1 Diabetes and pregnancy-related endocrine conditions.

Debra Jakalow, MS, RDN, RN, CDCES, BC-ADM, IFNCP

Debra Jakalow graduated from Queens College with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Foods and Nutrition. She earned a Master of Science degree in Nutrition and Public Health from Columbia University. In addition, she has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.

Ms. Jakalow is board certified in advanced diabetes management, certified as a diabetes educator and she is a New York State licensed Dietitian-Nutritionist.

Ms. Jakalow is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, American Diabetes Association, and American Association of Diabetes Educators.
